The new “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” trailer features action and anxiety, as Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers search for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. The new trailer was released by 20th Century Fox on Thursday during the “Paper Towns” Night on The Towns event.
The Gladers’ journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate wasteland that proves even more challenging than the maze. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.
The film also stars Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen, Barry Pepper, Lili Taylor and Patricia Clarkson.

Wes Ball returned to direct this sequel, with T.S. Nowlin again writing the screenplay. The film is the second in a planned trilogy, based on the young adult novels by James Dashner.
“Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” hits theaters on September 18, 2015.
